Jeremiah Wheatle, Co-Founding Executive Director of Sports and Recreation at the High5 Foundation and Director of Basketball Operations at H5 Academy, is a seasoned leader in the basketball realm. With over a decade of sports programming expertise, Jeremiah has made a lasting impact on Ontario's basketball scene. His coaching journey, spanning semi-professional roles in the CIS circuit for the past seven years, has earned him prestigious accolades such as the MLSE Citizen Community MVP award in 2017 and the OLG and Toronto Raptors ‘Building Boroughs’ Award in 2023, recognizing his significant contributions to Ontario basketball. Jeremiah's influence extends beyond the court; a Toronto Metropolitan University Honours Graduate in Sociology, he brings academic depth to his multifaceted expertise. As the convenor of the Phoenix Hoop basketball tournaments and leagues, he consistently hosts over 100 teams annually, providing a platform for aspiring athletes in both AAU and prep divisions across Ontario. In his role as Co-Founder and Co-Executive Director of Sports and Recreation, Jeremiah not only leads the H5 Academy but also serves as the Head Coach of Phoenix Elite AAU Junior and Senior Boys and Senior Girls Basketball Teams. His commitment to community engagement and youth development has solidified him as an award-winning Head Basketball Coach with over seven years of leadership experience in community programming. Jeremiah Wheatle is more than a coach; he is a mentor, community builder, and fervent advocate for the game of basketball.
